Cyprus ordered the reintroduction of face masks to combat COVID-19 on Wednesday, just over a month after the requirement was lifted when infections rose again.
The requirement to wear a face mask in indoor areas takes effect on Friday, Health Minister Michalis Hadjipantela said.

Cyprus had lifted the requirement to wear masks in most areas on 1 June.
