Cuba’s grip on power inside Washington

Is the Mexican wife of a Cuban official involved in human trafficking of tens of thousands of health professionals the best candidate in the Western Hemisphere to lead the Washington-based Pan American Health Organization (PAHO)? Is a Brazilian whose fingerprints over the entire use of Cuban doctors as forced labor in his country, better?

Both have been nominated for the job by their respective governments, who lobby hard for them. Both deserve to be disqualified.
