“Community Development” in Dubai is transferring digital knowledge to senior citizens

The Community Development Authority in Dubai unveiled an initiative to transfer digital knowledge to senior citizens who are members of the Thukher Club, in collaboration with the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du). The first of the initiative lasts for three months, where opinions from senior citizens are examined to find out their priorities and to adapt the content of the educations to it.

He said that digital knowledge has become a reality and inevitable, which can not be overlooked, and the need for senior citizens is increasing to help them get services with the least possible effort, in accordance with their conditions, especially since all public services are available through smart applications and all requirements can be achieved through delivery services. He added that the contributions of larger companies and institutions increase the progress of community work standards and the introduction of new ideas and initiatives that use the expertise and resources of specialized authorities in different areas to meet the needs of community members.

Al-Hasawi, for his part, said that the blessed month of Ramadan is an ideal occasion for all groups and members of society, for reflection and contemplation and for increasing the level of community participation, adding that the initiative will help improve the quality of senior citizens life by relying on digital solutions and technologies, not only to strengthen their independence but also to enrich their digital experiences.
