BTS Suga’s “Yoongi, Marry Me” joke guests on national television
Anywhere BTS‘s Suga goes, marriage proposal will definitely follow!
BTS members receive all marriage proposals from fans, but “Yoongi, marry me, ” has become the new “I want to sue, Min Yoongi.” In other words, this inside joke is now an international phenomenon.
“Yoongi, marry me” has performed at BTS concerts …
… At airports…

… And now it’s making a guest appearance on national television!
Last week tonight with John Oliver is a late-night American television program hosted by a comedian John Oliver. During a satirical news item, John Oliver mentioned one “figurative” fever than has infected the world, BTS.
You probably thought the folk disease he was referring to there was the literal one [COVID-19] it has killed nearly a million Americans in two years or the figurative that is BTS fever …
Suddenly, John Oliver took a detour just to drop a courtship. “And by the way,” he said. “Yongi, marry me. I have the documents.”
In 2018, long before “Yoongi, marry me” the craze took off, Suga responded to a fan’s suggestion by telling them to “bring the documents.”
With the immortal words Jimin:
