BREAKING: Firefighters chase to Whitefield as the road is taped off and residents are urged to keep windows closed – latest updates

Residents and businesses have been issued a warning after firefighters moved down to an industrial area in Bury. Crews are present at Park Seventeen, in Whitefield, this afternoon (April 25).

People living and working in the area are being urged to keep their windows and doors closed while firefighters take care of the incident. Residents are also urged to stay away from Park Seventeen, which is off Moss Lane and close to Whitefield Park.

In a post on Twitter just after noon. At 1.45pm, a spokesman for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “We are currently attending an incident at Park Seventeen in Whitefield. Local residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed and avoid the area.”
