Asia-Pacific stock rising, sentiment fragile due to China’s fears of growth

Overnight on Wall Street, the Dow Jones rises 238.06 points, or 0.7% to 34,049.46, the S&P 500 rose 0.6% to 4,296.12, while the Nasdaq rose 1.3% to 13,004.85.

New Zealand’s credit card consumption for March 3.4% y / y (compared to expected 0.9%).

Oil prices opened slightly higher on Tuesday, after falling sharply the previous session due to concerns that continued Covid-19 lockdowns in China would erode demand and as the US dollar rose to its highest level in two years.

Futures on Brent oil were at $ 102.57, up 25 cents or 0.2%, and US West Texas Intermediate contracts rose to $ 98.70, up 16 cents or 0.2% at 0002 GMT.
