Across the spider verse, several spider people tease, reveals the title of part 2

This story contains potential spoilers for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part 1).Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part 1) has revealed ongoing preview footage from the upcoming sequel, as well Part IIs title.

As reported by Deadline, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who acted as co-authors / directors at 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, revealed the first 15 minutes of Across the Spider Verse – Part I during CinemaCon 2022. The filmmakers teased the “greatest team of an animated film ever” with over a thousand crew members, as well as 240 characters across six universes. “That’s why we could not run the sizzling roll,” they said. It was also revealed Across the Spider Verse – Part 2the third film in Spider verse franchise, will be the title Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

The recordings consisted of completed scenes, raw footage, sketches and unfinished CGI, but included appearances by Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman (Hailee Steinfeld), Miguel O’Hara / Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac) and Jessica Drew (Issa Rae)) , who rode a motorcycle.

Lord helped write Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse with collaborator Miller, and the two will return as co-authors and produce for the sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part 1), which they have previously teased with unique animation styles for each dimension. “At first glance, you just get a taste of what we’re after,” Lord and Miller said when the sequel was first announced. “Each dimension looks and feels radically different from all the others. They all look as if they were drawn by a different artist.”

When the first look at the upcoming sequel was released in December 2021, both Lord and Miller explained that they developed a unique art style for each universe depicted in the film. “Well we’re just started,” they said at the time. “In the first look, you just get a taste of what we’re after. Each dimension looks and feels radically different from all the others. They all look like they were drawn by a different artist.”

It was recently announced that the release dates for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part 1) and its successor had been delayed by almost a year each, with Share one published in 2023, with Part II encountered until 2024. Despite the delay, Miller has stated that this will give the film’s great team “more time to make it great.”


Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson based on a screenplay by Lord, Miller and David Callaham, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part 1) will be released on June 2, 2023. Part II premieres on March 29, 2024.
