Across the Spider-Verse ‘At CinemaCon; The successor’s title revealed – Deadline

Sony dropped the first 15 minutes of its upcoming Marvel animated sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse – Part I Today.

In addition, the Culver City, CA studio revealed the title of the film’s sequel (technically the third part of the animated Marvel series): Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Recently, the studio announced that it was pushing the animated film from directors Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson from October 7 to June 2, 2023. The sequel to the film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part II, is dated March 29, 2024.

Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse will tell about Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), the hero of the 2018 Oscar winner for best animated film, as he groups with Miguel O’Hara (Oscar Isaac), “Spider-Man 2099” and Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) to meet a powerful supervillain.

Back as producers are Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Christina Steinberg; Alonzo Ruvalcaba is a co-producer. Lord and Miller will also be credited as writers on the film along with David Callaham. Spider verse director Peter Ramsey is also returning as executive producer alongside Aditya Sood.

Lord and Miller took the stage before playing the raw footage, which was a mix of imperfect CGI, polished footage and sketches, beaming: “We do not have a sizzling wheel. Here’s a secret. Please do not tell Tom ( Rothman) this. Just say Whoo! ” It became a little. “We were too busy making the film.”

Also, “We told him it would be the same size as the last one, but we could not do that. It’s the biggest cast of an animated film ever. This film has 1,000 people working on it. Do not tell Tom “The number of characters. This movie has 240 characters. Do not tell Tom. It takes place in six universes. That’s why we could not run the sizzling roll.”

“However, we could show you the first 15 minutes of the film. But you must promise not to tell Tom.” Of which the audience played along and shouted “We do not want to tell Tom”.

Filming takes place on Earth 65 with Hailee Steinfeld’s Spider Gwen meeting one Spider Man from another dimension, Miguel O’Hara voiced by Oscar Isaac. They have encountered a bird that O’Hara is fighting against. Issa Raes Jessica Drew shows up to take part in the fight on a motorcycle. She’s a friend of O’Hara’s. A helicopter falls from the sky, and Gwen and O’Hara use their webs to prevent them from falling and causing further damage.

Gwen encounters her police father, and she tells him she “did not murder Peter.” “Do you really think I’m a killer? I’m your daughter.” Gwen’s father begins reading her miranda rights.

Footage is similar to Miles Morales’ version of Earth. His parents and him meet with his principal at the school. His Spidey senses are set in motion, and he goes. The principal, as Rachel Dratch has put it, tells her mother, “Your son is lying to you. And I think you know it.”

Said Sony Studio Boss Tom Rothman had a warning for the competition about the upcoming Spider verse movie, “Beware of the devil!”

He snarled “I have a reputation for keeping up!”
