The Traffic and Patrol Directorate of the Central Operations Sector of the Abu Dhabi Police carried out an initiative on the occasion of the International Humanitarian Day in Icad Labor City in Mussafah, which falls annually on August 19, and this year comes under the slogan “One hand does not clap. “
The initiative was attended by the Department of Patrols for the Criminal Security Sector and included the holding of traffic competitions and a traffic awareness workshop focusing on increasing road safety for workers and distribution of gifts to workers in recognition of their efforts in the development process in the United Arab Emirates.
Brigadier General Mohammed Dhahi Al Himiri, Director of the Traffic and Patrol Directorate, confirmed the interest of the Abu Dhabi Police in the category of workers and being present with them on various occasions to increase traffic awareness efforts and confirm their leading role in the development process that the country is witnessing to.
He explained that the pioneering Emirati model in humanitarian and development work is widely appreciated around the world. Its approach was established by the founder of the country, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul”, and the provision of humanitarian aid and charitable work to all parts of the world continued, under the patronage and support of our wise leadership until the UAE was occupied. For several years it ranked first in the world as the largest donor of humanitarian aid relative to its national income.
