His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, affirmed the interest of the emirate’s government in supporting the creative industries sector in all its forms, including visual arts, referring to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, on the need to pay attention to artistic projects and qualitative initiatives that strengthen the emirate’s presence on the global cultural scene and open global horizons for cultural and creative communication with various countries around the world.
This came during a meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, in his office at the Emiri Diwan, along with Nasser Al Yamahi, Executive Director of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, and the Fujairah Photography Award team.
During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on the Authority’s preparations and the working team’s preparations to launch the Fujairah Photography Award and its objectives in its next edition, through which the Authority seeks to highlight the creativity of photographers and enhance the status of Fujairah as a cultural and artistic destination.
His Highness commended the Authority’s efforts to attract creative and talented people to the field of photography through this important award, stressing the need to activate constructive partnerships and combine efforts between relevant authorities to develop distinctive cultural and artistic programs with the aim of supporting the sustainable growth of the artistic sector.
For his part, Nasser Al Yamahi expressed his thanks to His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah for his constant support for all the projects and initiatives of the Authority, stressing the team’s keenness to organize the next edition of the Fujairah Photography Award according to the best levels.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al-Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah.
