The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice, which considers Israel’s settlement policy in the West Bank and East Jerusalem to be a violation of international law.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained in a statement that the UAE stresses its rejection of all measures aimed at changing the existing historical and legal situation in the occupied Palestinian territory, as well as all practices that violate international legitimacy resolutions, which threaten further escalation and tensions in the occupied Palestinian territory. region and hinder efforts to achieve peace and stability. It stressed the need to support all regional and international efforts aimed at advancing the Middle East peace process, as well as ending illegal practices that threaten the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
On the other hand, the number of humanitarian aid and relief convoys to the Gaza Strip reached 100, sent by the UAE since November 24, 2023. The convoys included various relief aids. The load of the convoys amounted to more than 20,000 tons, transported by about 1,000 trucks through the Rafah terminal. Four convoys were sent after the Rafah invasion with a load of 320 tons of relief and food supplies, targeting the displaced and those affected by the difficult conditions they are living in and the lack of basic necessities. The health sector was also supported with medical aid amounting to more than 16 tons.
