Two men in their 40s were killed and two other men were injured in a shooting in Englewood on Saturday night, police said.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1900 block of West Garfield Boulevard in which four men were on the sidewalk when they were shot by a person in a gray vehicle passing by, the Chicago Police Department said in a media release. .
A 42-year-old man was shot several times and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A 48-year-old man was shot several times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
A 24-year-old man was shot in the back and in the left arm and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition, police said.
A fourth man was shot and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital to recover, police said. Police did not know his condition.
From 9.30pm, detectives were still on the scene investigating the shooting, police said.
