Sharjah Airport achieved positive results and remarkable growth in passenger numbers, cargo volume and air traffic during the first quarter of 2022. Aircraft movements in the first quarter of this year 2022 recorded an increase in the number of flights by more than 89%, registering 21,336 flights, compared to 11,279 flights in the same period last year.
In terms of air freight traffic, Sharjah Airport recorded more than 39.566 thousand tonnes during the first three months of this year, a growth of 26% compared to the same period last year, including 14.457 thousand tonnes during the month of March alone.
